Motul shines at Le Mans

The 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans did not disappoint and 350,000 attendees were on hand to witness this iconic global event. Motul was well represented in what can be considered the brand’s home race with numerous cars across the LMP2 and LMGT3 classes and with its own section of the circuit, the “Virage du Raccordement Motul“, located just before the iconic front straightaway.

Motul hosted guests from all around the world both at the iconic driver’s parade through the streets of the Le Mans city center and at the track in their suite located atop the pitlane and treated them to behind-the-scenes experiences with teams, drivers and a visit to the Motul Racing Lab. Guests had the opportunity to meet the McLaren Hypercar Technical Director Chris Dyer and driver Laurens Vanthoor who will compete in the 2027 World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the 2027 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Motul is a proud partner of the McLarenHypercar and Formula 1 programs, developing bespoke lubricants for some of the world’s most demanding conditions.

On the track, Motul was well represented with iconic teams across both LMGT3 and LMP2. In LMGT3, Motul was represented with Manthey Racing and their pair of Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3s and 13 Autosport and their Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R. In LMP2, Motul powered numerous teams running the Oreca 07-Gibson platform including United Autosports, TDS Racing, Algarve Pro Racing, Nielsen Racing and defending LMP2 champions Inter Europol.

When the checkered flag flew after 24 grueling hours, all but 2 of the Motul partner cars crossed the finish line, completing the most difficult 24-hour race on earth. Motul stood atop the podium in LMP2 with Inter Europol and drivers Jakub Smiechowski, Tom Dillmann and Nick Yelloly. Motul shared another victory in the LMP2 Pro-Am category with the Algarve Pro Racing run Crowdstrike Racing entry with drivers George Kurtz, Alex Quinn and Laurin Heinrich.
